Ms.Mire has taught private lessons since 2013. While completing her master's degree she taught woodwind methods at the University of North Texas as a teaching fellow during the 2012-13 school year. During the 2015-16 school year, Ms.Mire was adjunct professor of music at Volunteer State University in Gallatin, TN teaching music appreciation and woodwind lessons. While living in Nashville Kelsey taught lessons at Meigs Magnet Middle School (2014-15) Hume-Fogg High School (2014-15-16).
Ms.Mire maintains an active home studio in Woodbridge, Virginia. Lessons are available for flute, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon, and/or oboe. Handmade bassoon reeds are available and are custom-made for each student. In addition, minor instrument repairs can be made by Kelsey for an extra fee. With Ms.Mire's wide variety of experience in different kinds of music, students can learn classical, jazz, and everything in between. Lesson rates are as follows:
